#skilllync #mechanicalengineering #battery The textbook definition of Sulfation is- a build-up of lead sulphate crystals on the metal surface. Just as the definition suggests, in these batteries, sulphate crystals build up on the lead electrodes. It is the number one cause of early battery failure in lead-acid batteries. In this video, we will have a brief discussion on how this affects a battery and reduces its life. Check out our website for the industry-relevant courses, https://bit.ly/36Em9dN About Skill-Lync Skill-Lync helps you learn industry-relevant skills that will accelerate your career. @rajeshwuppandla39893 years ago Nice explanation on battery sulfation, Thank you. Please give answer for this question.
Is sulphates will form due to intruption for 20 minutes in capacity discharge or charging process In new battery formation process. If yes how much time will take for sulfation on plates. ...

@DeeAnn124994 years ago So far, i see desulfation videos on Wet Lead Acid Battery but not on the Low-Maintenance Lead Acid Battery. Can you desulfate a "Low-Maintainence" Lead Acid Battery using electronic pulsed desulfators?

@DeeAnn124994 years ago If i have an 9 months brand new battery, but because of the lack of car movement, i have been periodically charging it manually. But recently, the voltage dropped from 12.5 volts on the 1st Day, to 10.0 Volts on the 2nd Day. This is with the battery not connected to the car. The 3rd Day it is 10 volts and the 4th day it is still 10 voly. Is this sulfation because perhaps i have either under-charge or over charged the battery. Pls confirm? ...

@DrDre-sy2kv3 years ago Don't do any of these, just turn the battery upside down. Because the electrolyte settles down due to usage thumps and gravity. 🤘. 1
