Ingredients:
FOR BATTER:
1. Besan(200gms)
2. Sugar(1 table spoon)
3. Refined oil( 1 table spoon)
4. Baking Powder (1/2 Tablespoon)
5. Baking soda (1/2 tablespoon)
6. Lemon juice ( 1.5 tablespoon)
7. Turmeric (1/2 tablespoon)
8. Salt to taste
FOR TADKA:
1. Mustard Seeds (1 table spoon)
2. Curry leaves (15 to 20 pcs)
3. Sugar (2 table spoon)
4. Green Chillies (4 pcs)
5. Salt to taste
Benefits Of Dhokla:
1.The staple Gujarati snack, dhoklas, is made with gram flour
and subsequently steamed.
2.The fermentation of the flour enhances its nutritive value.
The fermented dal adds to the fibre and protein content of the dish.
3.Dhokla has a low glycemic index (it releases glucose at a
more sustained rate) which makes it good for diabetics.
4.Being steamed and not fried they have less oil content which
make them low in calories. It contains fewer calories; 100 g
of dhokla contains only 160 calories.
