China is 'pushing it's agenda' through Australian universities

Sky News co-host Rowan Dean says Australia should be worried by the agenda being pushed throughout the West by members of the China security forces after an Australian student was suspended for speaking out against China. University of Queensland philosophy student Drew Pavlou was hit with allegations of misconduct by the university for being critical of China’s human rights record. Bob Katter has asked for federal inquiry into foreign influence into our education institutions, since the handling of Drew Pavlou suggests a member of the Chinese consulate likely influenced UQ’s response. “We will get to the bottom of why you, the Queensland University, punished a person for expressing his opinion in the public arena,” Mr Katter said. “An opinion which every decent person on earth would agree with.” Mr Dean said the Australian Strategic Policy Institute reported virtually every large company with links to China had within it Chinese “spies”, members of the Chinese security forces, who aimed to push the Chinese agenda through the West. “We have our universities who wont even take the Ramsey Centre’s course for (Western) Civilisation, which is basically looking at a few books from the past, a few concepts and idea from the enlightenment and exploring them [because] … it would ‘be corrupting, that’s white supremacy, that’s bastardising the purity of intellectual thought’,” Mr Dean told Sky News. “Yet we see these same clowns, we see the Confucius centres, we see people like Bob Carr and others sitting on these big fancy, presumably well remunerated, boards of Chinese centres of learning. “We should be really worried about this.”
