In this recipe video, April makes a healthier version of Homemade Pizza Rolls. These are the perfect quick and easy after school snack, and the kids will definitely love them!
Pepperoni Pizza Rolls
makes 8 rolls
Ingredients
2 whole wheat tortillas
1/4 cup jarred marinara sauce
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
12-14 pepperonis
Optional: 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon parmesan cheese
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Spread the sauce evenly onto the tortillas leaving about an inch around the edges.
Sprinkle on the mozzarella, and then place the pepperonis and basil (if using) on top of the cheese.
Roll the tortillas up tightly, brush the tops with the oil, sprinkle on the parmesan, and then cut each roll into 4 sections with a sharp knife.
Bake the pizza rolls for about 8 minutes on a sheet pan, cool slightly, and enjoy!
